This seems a very odd proposal. Mitchell Avenue
is already a heavily trafficked street. Practically speaking, it is unclear how a bike lane between Wes Park and Red Bud would provide connection to Spring Grove, unless one were to take cyclists through what I understand is one of the most dangerous intersections in the city--Mitchell and Vine.

If the bike lane is to start at Wes Park, the uphill curve on Mitchell coming up from Vine makes visibility of cyclists limited at best, as does the curve on Mitchell before Red Bud.

I travel this route as much as multiple times a day and have never seen a cyclist on Mitchell. Is there information to substantiate the need for this?

This is one of the sillier ideas I've heard of (next to Mallory's Folly Trolly.) It would make an allready congested and dangerous road even worse.

Why are so many houses for sale on Bank now?
Are the issues with the methane gas worse?
Are there new findings that should worry the residents?

Why are so many houses on Bank for sale now?
I have read the reports on the methane gases but the Village says that the levels are low and there is no danger. Has this changed? Are there new findings?

The rental policy is being reviewed by Council and the Administration. We will be addressing all of these concerns and more. Thank you all for your feedback. At the 8/25/11 COW it was agreed that the idea of the policy was with good intentions, but it needs to re-addressed to make it work the way it should and to make sure residents are in agreement. It is on the agenda to disucss again at the 9/15/11 COW. Everyone is welcome to attend and speak.
