Due to the unfortunate weather forecast for Wednesday October 19th, The St. Bernard Breast Cancer Awareness Day events have been re-scheduled to this Saturday October 22.
The Walk will start at 10:30 am, at Vine Street park. We have a few special events planned for the morning. The fee is $20.00 and includes your T-shirt, a can koozie, and misc. additional items and educational information.

The Village will be hosting a Breast Cancer Awareness Day on Wednesday October 19th, 2011. ALL proceeds will go the University of Cincinnati & Cincinnati Children’s Hospital’s Cincinnati Breast Cancer & Environmental Research Center.

After 15 weeks of the 17 week Weight Watchers Program the Health Department is proud to announce that we are 272.6 pounds lighter in the community! The first 17 week session is about to wrap up and we are very excited to host round 2! We will be starting the new group on Tuesday April 3rd, 2011. Feel free to come to our last meeting of this session on Tuesday March 29th, 2011 at 5:30 pm in the lower level of City Hall to see about the program and what all it has to offer. We would love to have you!
Once again we have 2 program options depending on the amount of people we have join.
OPTION 1- Includes 17 weeks of instructional meetings with a trained Weight Watchers Leader, 19 weeks of Weight Watchers E Tools- internet weight loss companion, Weight Watchers materials, group support and motivation. Price for this option is $186.00
OPTION 2- Includes 12 weeks of instructional meetings with a trained Weight Watchers Leader, 14 weeks of Weight Watchers E Tools- internet weight loss companion, Weight Watchers materials, group support and motivation. Price for this option is $156.00

Open swim resumes at the St. Bernard High School indoor pool.
Every Wednesday from 7 pm – 9 pm enjoy a adult supervised family swim. Lifeguards are also on duty.
The Recreation Department will be accepting all 2011 sport application registration.

“Mommy & Me” swim classes will begin Thursday, October 21st at the SBEP High School pool.
Children 6 months to 3 years of age may participate. Classes will be held between 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm on Thursday evenings. Cost for residents is $10.00 and $20.00 for non-residents. Applications are available at City Hall and the Recreation Department. There is a 30 student maximum-don’t delay, sign up today!

Congratulations to Lillian Wellbrock for winning the First Annual Ducky Derby!
The final “Family Night” of the 2010 pool season is this Friday and the first running of the St. Bernard “Duckie Derby” will take place. The proceeds will benefit the St. Bernard Community Block Watch Assosciation and will provide funds to allow the association to add community based events. The “Duckie Derby” ducks can be purchased at the St. Bernard Aquatic Center for $5.00. The ducks will be sent down the slide and follow a predetermined path. The first duck to reach the finish line will receive $250.00. Please support the Community Block Watch Association and maybe you will pick the winning duck!
